SubStandard Listening Room, Eureka Edition

The SubStandard Listening Room will be turning on the Great Art Machine at Mendenhall Studios (299 C Street  in Eureka CA) Friday May 29th starting at 6pm and… YOU ARE INVITED!

The SubStandard Listening Room is a PopUp Art Installation environment with an interactive theatrical informative subtext.

Through a guided interactive community experience, we will enter our collective input into the Great Art Machine, and invite the Oracle therein to find for us a common thread: a fresh perspective which would hopefully help slightly untangle some things.

Interactivity will be appreciated and rewarded, but if you’re feeling shy, NO PRESSURE… just come and passively enjoy the show. There will be music, interactive art, theatronix, and more…!

If you are confused about what this is all about… NO WORRIES! The SubStandard Listening Room is not a place for certainty. In fact, it is an ideal environment for questioning and wondering.

The SubStandard Listening room is a Collapsible Institute Production. Stay tuned here for further info…!

This event is free and open to the public.

The SubStandard Listening Room MendenHall Edition is made possible through grant funding from the Eureka Cultural Arts District (ECAD), a partnership of the Wiyot Tribe, the Ink People Center for Arts & Culture, Eureka Main Street, and the City of Eureka.
